Flat

There is basically no surf out front today gang. We are looking at flat to one foot conditions with the wind starting to pick up out of the west. Low tide is right about now and we have a high tide at 5:40 this afternoon. Water is hovering around 55 but the wind is moving so if you need to get wet or go for a paddle make sure you have your boots and gloves. We are still fully stocked with all your accessory needs here at the shop so if you don't have what you need come say hi to James today and he will take care of you!!

Tonight there is going to be a great party over the boarder at the Upper Deck in Salisbury. It is a full on Halloween costume party with prizes for the best costumes. I have been in years past and I can tell you from personal experience that it is a great time. If you haven't been to the Upper Deck before please come check it out. It is a huge bar right on the beach in Salisbury across from our bagel shop "The Surfing Bagel." So if you are looking for "the thing to do" tonight,  come on down, have some drinks and laughs, listen to live music and scare the shit out of your friends. I will be there in my costume, so show up and see if your is better than mine. I am willing to bet that it won't be!!!

Again surf is not looking very interesting today, but I would totally understand if you just had to paddle out, so don't be afraid if you want to get wet. Just do it!!!

Thanks for reading everyone, we here at the Zapstix greatly appreciate it and your continued support of the shop. Take care and I will see you tonight if you have the guts to show up!!!

Surf report

Well folks there are very small little peelers out front right now. It's looking like shin to knee high sets with a wind out of the west. Low tide was at 10:15 this morning and we have a high at 4:40 this afternoon. I will have more for you as the day rolls on so check back with me later as I have to go unpack boxes of new skate stuff......yes I said new skate stuff. So, check back later today for the blog and keep an eye on it there might be a better wave as the tide fills in at the right spots.

See you in the shop

Raddest Family Round

Good morning gang!! There are fun little knee + waves out front right now so I would suggest grabbing your longboard and taking a walk down to the beach, but that's just me. The water is a balmy 55 but the air temp is hovering around 71 so a 3/2 with boots is all you need today. Keep an eye on it this afternoon because there might be a little push coming through and I know after 13 straight days of flatness I am looking for any excuse to get wet. High tide is 3:45 so plan your day accordingly!

So, I feel that it is my duty to introduce all of you to the most radical family I know. This video is one of my extremely good friends Maka and his son Miles. Maka, his beautiful wife Emily and their amazing son Miles live in Colorado and let me tell you, if you want to know how to raise your children, take a page out of their book. Maka has traded in the amazing waves of his home state Hawaii for the mountains of the west, but his surfing spirit lives on! So, without further ado I introduce you to Miles and Maka. Brothers, may your days be filled with rad times and much love. This is a thanks from all of us for keeping it real and setting the bar high for parents of all ages.

One more thing for today, if you don't know by now you should, but we here at Zapstix have a surf camp in the DR. Check out the site here...

That's all I got today folks, we are here till 5 so come swing by, say high, and go get some!!!

Peace

Not yo' mama's Fiesta And Come Skate With US!!!!!

Remember when......

This was Yo' mama's Fiesta!!!!

Well not any more my friends, and you have Ken Block and Monster to thank for that. On this rainy day when all of our new O'Neill women's clothing(yes new I'll get to that I promise) is out and styled around the shop, what do I have to do? find ways to entertain you especially with no waves, and that common ground seems to be youtube. So on this rainy day i start you off with a video that blew me out of the water and I'm sure it will blow you out too. Don't be afraid to put it into 720 just let it load and it won't skip on you.

So NEW WOMEN'S from O'Neill is here!! Here is a little sampling that I have put together for your viewing pleasure. Winter is right around the corner ladies so get on your horse, come see me, grab a jacket and a hat and with that get a FREE High Five!

That's just a little bit of what's new ladies, and please don't forget if you are going on vacation this winter, we still have a massive selection of bikini's and the are still 1/2 off. Come say hi and get yourself ready for the sun and snow!!

On other news Team Rider John Marshall has been a busy little bee out in his backyard. We are inviting all of you, our faithful followers and supporters to come skate with us. The key to this is, you have to personally come into the shop to find out where, and to make sure we know who the hell you are!! But no seriously John has an amazing wife a beautiful baby girl and another one on the way so we have to be respectful of the family. I know that all of you out there respect that fact and we really are stoked to shred with you. So like I said, swing on by and let us know if you are interested and I'll let you know where it is.....

So surf is looking like junky knee high sets with a wind out of the SSE at 10pmh. I suggest going for a skate today at the Air Field if you are looking for something to keep you occupied. Other than that I am here till 5 tonight and back tomorrow at 11. Come on down say hi Shoot the you know what and have a ball. As always enjoy your day, be good to your neighbor and I'll see you in the water or on the ramp!!

Peace

THANK YOU!!

First off I would like to thank all of you who came out and supported us on Saturday night!!! I know I had a great time and I really hope all of you did too. We were able to raise a ton of money for the Linda Foundation which helps underprivileged children learn how to surf. So again many many thanks and I can't wait to do it again next year!

As far as waves go, right now we are looking at chest high slop with winds out of the NNE. There is swell out there and if you know where to go you might be able to score a little session. Just make sure you are protected and please don't surf alone. Surf should clean up later in the week so keep your fingers crossed and keep an eye on it. High tide was at 9 am and we have a low at 3 pm. Water temp is around 58 so come get your boots. We still have a large selection of 3,5,7 mm round toe and split toe models.

In other news, PLEASE keep your eyes and ears open because someone decided to steal out O'Neill banner from our store front. I mean really what have we done to you. For everyones information it was a Hyperfreak 4' x 8' banner. So please if you have any information about the A-HOLE who did this please call the shop and tell us, there is a reward for the arrest and capture. Smaller reward if brought in dead, but none the less a reward!!

That's all today folks, and remember this Saturday we are selling our rental fleet for $250 a board!! Put it on your calendar and like always.....

See you in the water!!!

SALE, WAVES AND MUSIC!!!!!

Hey gang, sorry for the last couple of days, haven't been in the shop so I neglected my postings, but not to worry I'm back with a ton of new news. There is going to be a lot going on in the next couple of days here on the Seacoast. First and foremost, there are WAVES!!!! The wind is already cleaning up and tomorrow should see shoulder to head high sets rolling in. It looks like there are going to be leftovers for the end of the weekend and into next week also. So get your stoke on, swing by the shop for your last minute needs, and get ready to surf!! This is how October should start. Welcome to fall surf in New England everyone.

Our rental fleet is going on SALE next Saturday at 9 AM!! This means great boards at a great price. We have numerous amounts of soft top and classic BIC's that we are looking to hook you up with. If you are in the market for a board that has great paddle power and catches waves super easy, then we have you covered. All boards are going for only $250. Thats right ONLY $250. They are going to go quick so make sure you set your reminder alarm and get on it. Most boards require wax, but we do have some ACS padded ones left that will not require wax, but are also not soft tops.

As far as music goes, we have our end of the year party tomorrow night at McGuirks Ocean View Hotel at 95 Ocean Blvd. Hampton. It will be featuring the band Dead Air Project, a wet suit raffle and many many giveaways! This is always a great time with great people so come on down and show your support. I'll be there with bells and whistles on I can promise you that, and who knows who might make a guest appearance, I'm not promising anything, but there might be some interesting people coming up from the south shore with some fun stuff in a box from bern. You know who you are!! http://www.bernunlimited.com/
