Through our close friend, Josh Walker - front man for bern helmets, we know Seth Wescott... the 2 time Boarder Cross Olympic Gold Winner 2006 and 2010. Congratulations Seth, Josh and bern helmets!!!

Coming this spring Zapstix will be carrying bern helmets and apparel. Stoked!

New Years Day 2009, Jared & Patrick had dinner with Seth at The Rack (Seth's restaurant located at the base of Sugarloaf).

conditions, 1-2ft knee high and clean. Good day for LB session. We got skunked from the storm, that's B.S. Swell might pick up later, stay on it.

To boot, our flight from Boston to Puerto Plata DR was canceled! Man one more day in the snow. I should be surfing head high waves in trunks today. I guess the stars didn't line up for us, or something. Ha Ha!

Check out our dates below for beach clean ups with Surf Rider Foundation. All attendees names will be put into a raffle to win a wet suit from Zapstix. Drawing will take place after the November clean up. Meet at the shop @ 12pm!

Seabrook beach clean up on Sunday March 7th with Surf Rider Foundation. Meet at the shop at 11am! We need your help to keep the beaches clean! All participant's at each clean up, names will be put into a drawing to win a wet suit at the end of the season. Every time you participate in a clean up your name will be entered in the raffle. NEWS - Zapstix Going International

After a few long years here at Zapstix it was time to relax and progress at the same time. So a few of the boys headed down to Dominican Republic for some surf. What we fond was friendly people and killer waves! After hanging with the local surfers, we realized that the surf scene in DR was still small and needed support. Zapstix sat down at the table (in board shorts and sandals) and talked about their needs. It turns out they were planning a contest and couldn't find main sponsors for the event. Zapstix signed on to be one of three main sponsors of the event, The Encuentro Surf Challenge 2010 (poster below). We are so stoked these guys were open arms when we walked into their scene. This is the start of a new beginning of Zapstix going international. Exactly what we want to do, continue to help underprivileged kids and communities to be able to surf.

Conditions, are 1-2ft and clean. Super low tide at 1020am and high is around 420pm! Defiantly a long board wave out there. Yesterday was waist high with the incoming tide, so keep an eye on it! There may be some surf around tomorrow with respectable size. We ll have to stay on it and see what happens.
