Surf Report Friday the 13th of August

The fog has just about burnt off completely, and the surf is minimal once again, ankle high. We've got ourselves a high tide at 2:30 and a low tide at 8:59. Another great day for a stand-up paddle, don't knock it till you try it!

Live at The Boardwalk in Hampton at 9:00 Pat Hall and friends, The Dead Air Project, will be playing and slaying all night! The event is sponsored by Zapstix Surf Shop, your provider of surf gear for over 20 years. Come by and and show some love and support.

Labor Day is on the way and this year we are holding a special first annual Stand-Up Paddle race, along with a Nose Riding Contest. *Both with cash prizes* The contest is planned to take place in Salisbury Center. Stay posted and check the blog for updates on the Zapstix event. Call the shop for more information.

Starting next moday we will be offering Yoga and Stand-Up Paddle lessons. It will be every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 8:30am for the rest of August.

Surf Report August 12, 2010

Hey everyone thanks for dropping in on the blog. Today the surf is minimal ankle to knee high longboard waves. The tides are high at 1:07 and low at 7:42. The water is heated up at a temperature 63 degrees F. Looks like we have a some waves in our future early on next week...

Surfing Bagel SUP Sessions Taking Off!

As posted in the previous blogs we have had multiple SUP sessions at the Surfing Bagel Co. every morning and throughout the course of the day. It has been a huge success and we have had a great turnout! So if you haven't hopped on a board yet come down and try!

Saturday Morning SUP Demo! 8-11! Come on by!

Zapstix and KIALOA will offer a paddle demo at Surf n Bagel Co. ( aka Zapstix Surf Shop, Salisbury Beach, Ma.) Saturday from 8am to 11 am 8/7/10.

Meet at 8am at the Surf n Bagel Co. 24 Broadway, Salisbury Beach pier and pick up a paddle to use for a couple hour session.  We will have demo boards too.
On hand will be:  Methane’s, Shaka Puu’s and the new women’s Pipes will all be available for you to demo.

Their will be a range of sizes from 76”, 78” and 80” paddles for you to try. 
Riders can rotate with other SUP’ers while we are all in the surf to get a different feel for the power, efficiency and lightness or on the beach.

KIALOA is the top selling and performing paddle on the market.

Come down and see why n feel the difference!

Happy Friday everyone! Today the surf is about knee high with some waist high sets rolling in. Currently the wind is light offshore and there is a chance of surf for the weekend! The tide will be high at 8:32 and low around 2:30. Good time to break out the long board and catch a couple on this beautiful day.

Surf Report

Todays the surf is thigh to waist high, get on it early before the wind does. We have a low tide at 12:31 and a high tide at 6:35.
Look for some swell around the weekend

We just got a boat-load of new Zapstix tee's and some new shop sweatshirts in also. come on by the shop we are open everyday 9-9.

8/1/10 surf Forcast and news

No surf today unless your on a skimboard or a Stand up board..but their is hope as swell forcast show it is supposed to  be in the 2-4 foot range tomorrow with semi glossy conditions and a high tide at 4:53 pm. Get up early and CHECK IT! and then come get a coffe at the surfing bagel befor you paddle out :)!

For shop news we just got a bunch of new doyle and oxbow longboards in (12 to be exact) so come in and check em out if your intersted in a new board or just want some info on some boards.
REMEMBER to support Ralph G. Fatello in his 365 day surf. Everyday until july 26 of 2011 in order to raise Awarness for Cancer and Diabetes. GO RALPH!!
